Animal
Defense Council Offers Reward For
Information
About Mutilated Donkeys
Today
the Tucson-based Animal Defense Council is offering a $500 reward
for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person
or persons who mutilated two
donkeys on a farm in
Marion,
Wisconsin
. Someone
cut
off the tails of two gentle donkeys, Thelma and Norton. Thelma
also had five inches of bone and flesh, from the bony part of the
tail, cut off.
Whoever committed this brutal act of animal cruelty should
be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and undergo
psychological counseling, said Carmine Cardamone, director of the
Animal Defense Council.
Cruelty to animals is often an indicator of future violence
against
humans,
Cardamone said. ADC is urging anyone with information to contact
the Waushara
County
Sheriffs Department at (920) 787 -5219 or Crime Stoppers at
800- 800- 5219.
In addition to a Waushara
County Crime Stoppers award, the Animal Defense Council
of Tucson, Arizona, is offering a reward of $500 for
information that will help solve the case. The Wisconsin
Donkey & Mule Society (WDMS) added $200 to the reward
amounts so that the total reward offering is now around
$1,000.
Anyone with information about this abuse is asked to please
call Crime Stoppers at 800-800-5219. Callers can remain
anonymous.
